2021 PHRF LONG DISTANCE
SERIES NOS
The 2021 ‘PHRF Boat of the
Year’ will consist of a PHRF Long Distance Series.
Class Competition: Competition will be offered to only the LMPHRF classes. The Class and/or division breaks to be used are as follows:
Scoring: Scoring shall be by class and shall include all entries to any eligible race. The minimum number of required races will be the best of 5 eligible races scored in determining the championship. All participants will adhere to Notice of Race Rules as published by the sponsoring authority for the individual races.
Prizes:
An overall traveling trophy will be awarded to the overall winner with
the trophy to be housed in the winning boats yacht club.Class Competition: Competition will be offered to only the LMPHRF classes. The Class and/or division breaks to be used are as follows:

Entries: A yacht may enter the PHRF Long Distance Championship at any time by entering an eligible race.
1 NUMBER OF RACES
2 SERIES SCORES
Each boat’s series score shall be the total of her race scores
using the top 5 scores.
The boat with the lowest series score wins and others shall be ranked
accordingly.
3 LOW POINT SYSTEM
The low point system uses a boat’s corrected finishing place as
her race score.

PHRF Long Distance Series Championship Boat of the Year prizes will be awarded to all sections, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Places. Flags will be awarded.
Do you need to be in a specific yacht club to enter this series? We are members of US Sailing and LMSRF.
ReplyDeleteThe PHRF Long Distance Series Championship is open to all PHRF Racers. You do not need any affiliation with any club. You do need to comply with LMPHRF rules and have a valid PHRF Certificate. To compete in an Area 3 race, you must be a member of US Sailing and LMSRF as well as compliance with the NOS.
